55 degree Whitworth Thread Form. Whitworth Pipe Threads are used almost exclusively by countries that use the Metric system.
British Standard pipes are known as Parallel, Straight, BSP, or BSPF
The various symbols are: BSP, BSPP, BSSPI, BSPF, BSPG, PS, R, G.
British Standard Pipe that are tapered (BSPT) are also known as:
British Standard Taper pipe or pipe Taper or Concial Thread
The taper is ¾” taper per foot or 1 in 16 on the diameter.
